Why Choose Homebased for your childcare option

This year has been a year of change, disruption, uncertainty, and worry for a lot of whanau across Aotearoa. For some it has changed the way we do the most normal things. Here at Barnardos Early Learning, we’ve found that for some whanau changing learning options has bridged the gap between Alert Level transitions. While all Early Learning Centres, and Homebased Learning Networks are operating under Government Advised Health and Safety guidelines, the transition from living every day in your bubble to re-entering “normal” life can be a bit overwhelming for some tamariki. Barnardos Homebased Early Learning is a smaller, more individual style of learning offering nurturing relationships, flexibility, smaller ratios. Within this, tamariki receive quality education and care, in a comforting environment with quiet spaces and room to explore – both indoors and out – just like your own home.

Small Ratios

Our experienced educators care for a up to 4 children with a maximum of two children under two at any time. This means the children in their care can keep their bubbles smaller and are therefore less likely to be exposed to coronavirus. The smaller environments ensure our educators can frequently keep the environment and toys clean and hygienic.
