Partners in early learning
We’re proud to partner with many local and national organisations. We believe they are going above and beyond for early learners and whanau in NZ. They each add something that helps us achieve our purpose of delivering quality education and care to your child.
Proud to be working in collaboration with
Homebased Early Childhood Education Association
Barnardos has a close association with this organisation, which supports those working in the Home Based sector. The Association liaises with government and relevant agencies, promotes qualifications and professional learning and development, and provides a united voice for members on topical issues.
Te Rito Maioha Early Childhood New Zealand
(ECNZ) is an organisation that provides education and membership for early childhood services and educators. their guiding beliefs and focus on cultural inclusion. Many of our teachers are graduates of Te Rito Maioha and we’re proud to be working in collaboration with them to bring even more skilled graduates into the early childhood community.
Proud to be a member of
Ministry of Education Early Childhood Advisory Committee
As a member of the Ministry of Education Early Childhood Advisory Committee, we take pride in representing and positively influencing strategic decisions impacting the early childhood sector. We are one of over 15 organisations who meet four times a year with the Government, the Ministry and other government agencies. These meetings allow us to give feedback about our sector and share best practice. We also talk about the challenges and identify new opportunities to support the government so they can make the best decisions for families and children in their early years.
We’re also a member of the Early Education Federation – an organisation that represents one unified voice for the early childhood education sector and every child’s right to that education. As one of over 15 membership organisations, we work toward the shared vision of excellence in early education and being an advocate for all early childhood education issues.
Proud to be associated with
Storypark is the digital and interactive tool we use to keep parents and families updated on their child’s learning and development. It is enjoyed by families and teachers across our centres and Home Based network and helps parents to feel more involved with their children’s early learning and community.

A number of our Barnardos Early Learning Centres take part in this program where local Enviroschools ambassadors provide them with the resources and tools to create a more sustainable learning environment.
Healthy Heart is a wonderful program our Barnardos Early Learning Centres use to promote healthy eating and movement. Healthy Heart provide our teachers with great tools and ideas to help encourage healthy eating and physical activity.
Ask Nicely is a helpful feedback tool we use to gather feedback from our families. It’s easy-to-use, so it is a simple way for you to tell us how we can improve our services and maintain the highest quality early learning experience for your child.
Infocare is our “student management system” which securely store all our children’s and families’ information. It meets all Ministry of education requirements for managing data and ensuring privacy.
